Welcome to Free Kids Alpujarra
A website dedicated to the free lives of our children.
Free Kids Alpujarra is born out of the desire to have a creative, inclusive and loving community for our children to grow at their own pace. We want them to interact with humans of all different ages, we want them to play and have adventures, to experience failures and to pick themselves back up again, to experience diverse input and enjoy this road of self-discovery – and so much more. All while being in a safe and nurtured environment.
Local Adventures
We have now begun to offer activities which children in the local area can join.
In the past we also offered activities to families, just not in the same way or under the same name. This summer 2026 we have come together to offer “The River Times“ – a weekly adventure, where we meet up to discover the joy of being in nature together. Unschooling Together Gathering
We are delighted to announce, that we are holding our first „Unschool Gathering“ in Autumn 2026.
We wish to share our love for the Alpujarras, while allowing our children to experience the diversity of the world. As we don’t travel much anymore, we invite the world to come here.

The hosts
We, the founders of “Free Kids Alpujarra” are Aishlinn and Kati, two single moms, who give our all for the well-being and freedom of our in total 4 children. This is a learning journey for us, just as much as for anyone else who gets involved.
Having lived very rich lives, with so many powerful experiences, led us to this point of having a strong belief in our ability and qualification to be caring and enriching guides for children navigating the spaces we open for them and the world at large.
We are grateful to go on this journey with all of you!
Las Alpujarras
The Alpujarras are an area in South Spain, a part of Andalucia. It´s a mountainous terrain, located close to the sea. This makes it special and draws in people who don’t fit into mainstream society, as it has for centuries.

The experiences are priceless and still we live in a world, where everything comes with a price. We believe, that the “Unschooling Together” is worth every cent, as it will make all of us grow.

To be totally honest, neither do we. This is a journey and we invite you to join it.
We do believe that staying curious is the base of endless learning. And what is life about, other then continue to learn and grow? This is not only for our children, but for all of us. Let’s do this in community and share the journey.
